COPYRIGHT                                                                                      In/Sight

Since copyright works began to appear in digital form, the role of copyright has required redefinition and polarized stakeholders worldwide. This entertaining and surprising paper (really!) summarizes the issues, the changes wrought to copyright so far, and exposes the reality behind some of the postures being taken. It also calls for specific practical day to day changes to make copyright easier to understand and use.  Unlike most position papers, David goes back to the first principles of copyright and explores fresh ways to address technical change without forfeiting the benefits of having copyright laws.
